GAAD is celebrated to get everyone thinking, talking, and learning about the importance of digital inclusion. Their are 2 main aims of this presentation: Demonstration a common task using R programming and how to make is more accessible to users. Showcase accessibility tools an R programmer has access to that may be of use to individuals or their colleagues.

Accessibility Awareness & Empathy Workshop (In Person)

Celebrating GAAD together! Raising awareness about Digital Accessibility by NTT DATA Spain (In Person)

Accessibility “Open Mic Night” (In Person)

Accessibility “Open Mic Night” is a local Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) event presented by Level Access. The goal is to hear and share stories of success that are happening in the digital accessibility space. There are a couple of ways that you can get involved in this GAAD event: Attend in person at Homes Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and more details will be sent out the week of the event. Record your story beforehand: We would love to hear your story of success! Record a 3-5 minute story to share with others. Interested in participating? Here are a few prompts to get you thinking: Did you complete a big milestone in making your website, app, or digital property more accessible to persons with disabilities? How did you get started working in the digital accessibility space, and why it is important to you? Share how you got involved in improving access and inclusion at a recent event or digital experience.

Accessibility is for all (In Person)
