Grazie a Simone Mignami (esperto di accessibilità per il Canton Ticino), ci concentreremo principalmente sulla creazione di Form Accessibili, croce e delizia di ogni visitatore, ma che se progettati male possono diventare un campo minato per gli utenti svantaggiati. Proveremo anche l’esperienza di testarli con un software text-to-speech, così da capire la differenza tra un codice accessibile e non accessibile per gli utenti ipovedenti.

Launch of the stable release of the Media Accessibility Platform (Activity)

On 20 May 2021, the Media Accessibility Platform (MAP) will finally end its beta testing and release its stable version to celebrate the 10th GAAD. MAP aims at providing a unified atlas charting the worldwide landscape of media accessibility through the creation of a structured platform that acts as a hub for research, policies, training and practices in this field. The database collects publications, events, projects, training courses, legislations, regulations and guidelines on media access.

Fix Your Content Day (Virtual)

Blackboard is bringing back Fix Your Content Day, a 24-hour global competition committed to creating accessible and more inclusive digital learning content. The objective of the day is to mobilize instructors and staff to fix as many digital course files as possible through Blackboard Ally. Accessibility Challenge for GAAD (Virtual)

We are encouraging businesses and organizations to do one thing on May 20th that makes their business more accessible and share it to social media. Gaming for RNIB (Virtual)

Gamers are being encouraged to fundraise for The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) as part of a drive to highlight inclusion in gaming. Coinciding with GAAD, RNIB is encouraging supporters to use their enjoyment of online gaming to support the charity via livestreams on or around this date. Gamers will be supported with materials including overlays of various sight conditions and films about our work.
