Drawing from her lived experience and advocacy work, Emily will share reflections on what accessibility truly means, why representation matters, and how we can all work toward a more inclusive world. In this fireside chat, Emily sits down with Lily Bond of 3Play Media to explore the evolving landscape of accessibility, the importance of centering disabled voices, and how awareness can lead to meaningful action—across media, workplaces, and everyday life. This is a session for anyone seeking to listen, learn, and deepen their understanding of disability and inclusion.

Join CPWA and CPACC-certified experts from DubBot and Promet Source for an informative webinar that delves into the critical role both automated and manual testing play in building a comprehensive accessibility strategy. You’ll learn how automated tools can quickly uncover common accessibility issues across large-scale websites, saving time and resources. We’ll also explore how manual testing complements these tools by identifying nuanced barriers that automation alone can’t detect. Finally, the session will provide practical, actionable steps for establishing a continuous accessibility monitoring program to ensure long-term compliance and inclusivity.

European Union Advisory Mission to Ukraine will conduct a speaking club discussion in English for students of police university in order to raise their awareness of accessibility issues faced by citizens in need of digital and other services provided by the police of Ukraine.

Social Media Beiträge sind nur dann barrierefrei, wenn bestimmte Aspekte berücksichtigt werden. In diesem Workshop erfahren die Teilnehmenden, wie Sie ihr(e) Social Media Profil(e) für so viele Nutzer*innen wie möglich zugänglich aufbereiten können. Es wird schwerpunktmäßig die Plattform Instagram in den Fokus genommen, viele der hier angesprochenen Praxistipps lassen sich jedoch auch auf andere gängige Plattformen (z. B. TikTok, X, Facebook etc.) übertragen. Zielgruppe: Web-Redakteur*innen, Content-Ersteller*innen, alle Interessierten (beruflich oder privat) Referent*innen: Ina Marie Ernst, Sabrina Januzik (Kompetenzzentrum digitale Barrierefreiheit.nrw, TU Dortmund)

In diesem Kurzworkshop werden Tipps vermittelt, wie Kurse in ILIAS möglichst barrierefrei gestaltet werden können. Dabei geht es um die grundsätzliche Anlage der Kurse und als Schwerpunkt um die Arbeit mit dem Seiteneditor. Sie lernen nicht nur allgemeine Prinzipien kennen, sondern auch ILIAS-spezifische Tricks und Hinweise.

Erstellt gemeinsam mit Expert*innen der AG Barrierefreiheit barrierefreie Texte in Moodle. Betrachtet mit uns gängige Anwendungsszenarien und erfahrt, wie Barrieren im digitalen Bereich wirken. Lernt, wie man Fehler in der Barrierefreiheit erkennt und diese vermeidet oder sie behebt. Der Workshop findet auf der Webseite vom Kompetenzzentrum Moodle.NRW statt. Wir bitten die Teilnehmenden vorab, sich auf moodlenrw.de kostenlos zu registrieren. Ihr erhaltet darüberhinaus Zugang zu erprobten Materialien und Anleitungen zur Gestaltung barrierefreier Dokumente und Moodle-Kurse.
