Rowe Price on May 15, as we explore how intrapreneurs and accessibility advocates can build meaningful, cross-functional partnerships that drive change from within. Learn how to identify potential collaborators across departments, show up as a supportive partner, and co-create momentum that goes beyond compliance. We’ll discuss practical ways to empower others, amplify disabled voices, and navigate internal dynamics — all without prescribing a one-size-fits-all approach.

Led by Old Dominion University’s Dr. Cook-Snell, this hands-on workshop empowers you to build accessibility into your design workflow from the start. It is perfect for content creators, communications staff, and anyone responsible for creating digital materials. Dr. Cook-Snell will cover key accessibility features such as tagging content, adding alternative text to images, ensuring proper reading order, and making forms navigable by screen readers.

In this presentation, educator and independent faculty developer focusing on neurodiversity, disability studies, and inclusive instructional design, Sarah Silverman PhD will share a tour through the histories of both the neurodiversity and UDL concepts. Then, she will clarify the areas of overlap between Neurodiversity theory and UDL, and where these two frameworks may disagree or diverge. She will then discuss ways in which neurodiversity theory and activism may help to inform and shape the implementation of the UDL to support neurodivergent students, with a specific focus on how communication differences can be respected and honoured using UDL.

Discover Financial Services celebrates Global Accessibility Awareness Day with an internal presentation exploring the real-world impact of digital accessibility and how it empowers inclusive growth. In partnership with Level Access, this event aims to inspire Discover teams to learn how to start their own accessibility journey, beginning with small, practical steps. It will also explore how other financial institutions approach digital accessibility and inclusive design.

Join us in celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day (#GAAD25) with “AI and Accessibility: Navigating the Challenges, Exploring the Potential”. This event is hosted by Transmedia Catalonia’s AccessTalks initiative in collaboration with the Be A(I)ware campaign under the ALFIE project. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, it presents both opportunities and challenges for digital accessibility. When developed responsibly, AI can break barriers and foster inclusivity. However, if mismanaged, it risks reinforcing biases and excluding vulnerable communities. This webinar will critically examine the intersection of AI and accessibility, addressing key concerns such as disaggregated data, algorithmic bias, fairness, user-centric design, and regulatory oversight. Attendees will gain insights into the latest research and innovative efforts to make AI more inclusive while tackling ethical concerns and current limitations.
