Creating Accessible Learning Content using dominKnow | ONE Webinar (Virtual)

19 May 2025 | 3:00 PM-4:00 PM Europe/London (Hook, Hampshire, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)

When it comes to creating inclusive digital learning content, accessibility requirements can be difficult to understand and interpret, making it challenging for instructional designers and content authors to create content that is accessible for all learners. Our complimentary webinar offer tips for creating accessible learning, based on our interpretation of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Using the content authoring platform dominKnow | ONE, we will demonstrate how content authors can use the tool to create accessible learning content that complies with WCAG 2.2. We will also show you what these features look like from the learner’s perspective, using a sample course we have created.

Some of the features we will demonstrate in the webinar include:

  • Keyboard navigation
  • Input assistance and errors
  • Alt Text and Focus
  • Transcripts and Closed Captions
  • Colour, contrast and audio

This accessible learning webinar will provide valuable insights and practical guidance for content authors already using dominKnow | ONE, as well as those who are new to the tool.

For many companies in Portugal, 2025 will mark the date on which the new law on accessibility applied to the private sector will come into force. Resulting from a European legislative initiative, the European Accessibility Act, this will be a challenge for products and services, with a view to creating a more inclusive reality. In Portugal, for some time now, there have been some companies that have been making very sustained progress in this area. Transforming products and services, creating new ways of working as a team and even redefining many of their internal policies. In this conversation, we will seek to highlight concrete examples of activities and initiatives from two companies that are completely essential to the lives of consumers in Portugal: Sonae MC (owner of Continente) and IKEA.
