Virtua11y is Nomensa’s free web accessibility and inclusivity conference taking place over three days from 14-16th May 2024. Virtua11y brings the leading thinkers and doers in accessibility and digital inclusion to share best practices, the latest thinking, and what the future holds for accessibility. Hear groundbreaking talks from speakers such as Derek Featherstone, Natalie Patrice Tucker, Alastair Campbell, and many more from the world of accessibility and inclusive design.

Creating accessible documents is essential to ensuring that everyone, including people with disabilities, can effectively engage with your content. This hands on workshop will teach you how to remediate a document using the Microsoft Accessibility Checker, share best practices, and hear what a screen reader experience is when a document is inaccessible.

With both private and public sector organisations increasingly prioritising accessibility, an understanding of the legislation and adherence to recommended guidelines is a necessity. This applies to Learning and Development teams as they look to adjust and develop their digital learning content to ensure inclusivity. This virtual event, designed specifically for L&D professionals, on Tuesday 14th May at 3pm (BST) / 10am (EDT), will be in the form of a panel discussion, comprised of industry experts from the UK and North America – author/speaker Susi Miller from eLaHub, L&D veteran Dan Richards, from Interactive Advantage, and lead accessibility author Emma Hewlett from Larmer Brown.
