Open Lab at TransMedia Catalonia

The TransMedia Catalonia research group opens its doors to celebrate the GAAD 2022. Visitors will have the chance to discover and participate in some of our on-going studies on media accessibility, led by our predoctoral researchers. You will have the chance to use an eye-tracker to help us test Easy Language, get a sneak preview of upcoming video games through their audio described trailers and give your input on a zarzuela audio description. Non-Visual Web Browsing: Beyond Web Accessibility

Old Dominion University Libraries will celebrate GAAD 2022 by hosting a talk with Professor Vikas Ashok titled “Non-Visual Web Browsing: Beyond Web Accessibility”. Professor Ashok leads the Accessible Computing Lab at Old Dominion University. The group’s research focuses on accessible computing, an interdisciplinary field that crosscuts Human-Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence.

Poznan A11y Meetup: GAAD

Poznan A11y Meetup group welcome all interested in improving digital accessibility. Building accessible solutions should not be something unique or just a legal requirement, but a universal usability standard. During the meetings we exchange experiences and build a common basis for introducing a11y into all digital projects. It is also an opportunity to learn about interesting tools and technologies. GAAD edition will be focused on international standards and general a11y awareness.

Pave the Way to GAAD

Info exhibits on accessibility and universal design solutions being used at North Idaho College (NIC). 2022 marks our third year of hosting Pave the Way to Global Accessibility Awareness Day (PWGAAD) on April 20, 2022 from 10AM-1PM. This is a FREE event that will take place in the Lake Coeur d’Alene room on the second floor of the Edminster Student Union Building at 495 N College Dr, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
