This year, Cal State LA has chosen GAAD 22′ to launch Editoria11y integration in Drupal. Editorai11y is an easy-to-use tool that will help all Drupal content editors identify and address accessibility issues on their web pages.

Accessibility is the practice of making your website and web applications usable by as many people as possible. In this session, we will cover the fundamentals of web accessibility as well as how to design, as an example you will be taken through one of our recent project at Mitratech.
Access Day is an annual special programming initiative that highlights stories of accessibility and disability justice from within our communities. This year’s theme is “The Spectrum of Accessibility.” Access Day can be streamed and/or broadcast on the FM at Campus/Community radio stations across Canada.
My private contribution to Global Accessibility Awareness Day will build upon findings from accessibility evaluations from the first Slovenian Accessibility Awareness Day from 2021. It will also include some comments about the first report of European Union’s Web Accessibility Directive and how and why must private companies prepare for European Accessibility Act. Personal reflections that will hopefully spread awareness and potentially suggest improvements.

Youth Innovation Projects supports Special Olympics Youth Leaders with and without intellectual disabilities as they come together to design and implement their visions of inclusion in their schools and communities. Since 2018 we have support over 850 Youth Leaders implementing 500 projects worldwide. Cycle 8’s theme will be Global Accessibility to help highlight the need for increased digital accessibility with the disability community. We will be highlighting the projects on our platforms.
