Boulder Global Accessibility

The Boulder/CO UX Research Meetup is excited to host a session for this year’s annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day! We will be jumping right in to explain the “so what” of accessibility– what impact inaccessible content has on users, why it matters, and what you can do about it. Alaina Beaver, our Meetup founder and accessibility SME, will facilitate this session. We’ll talk through considerations for building more inclusive research so that we can mindfully recruit and anticipate the needs of people with disabilities (PWD) in our studies. We’ll also do some live demos using automated testing tools and make sure you leave the session with a variety of tools and tips to help you be more accessibility-minded in your everyday life! Please feel free to spread the word, and look forward to seeing you–in person this time!–for this session. Slides will be made available for everyone afterwards. Please let us know if you need any accommodations so that you can participate fully. We’re happy to do our best to include everyone!
