In this free, 45minute online panel discussion with experts in design and accessibility from Lego and Newgen KnowledgeWorks, we will be talking about the significance of accessibility in product design, the challenges that come with its incorrect implementation, and how product teams can create genuinely inclusive and accessible digital products and experiences. By designing products with accessibility in mind, we can make the world a little easier to navigate for everyone. However, building truly inclusive and accessible products requires careful consideration of the users needs. It’s essential to make accessibility a key part of product strategy rather than an afterthought. It is estimated that approximately one billion people worldwide, which accounts for 15% of the global population, live with some form of disability. Moreover, the purchasing power of working-age adults with disabilities is around $490 billion. Register to join us live at 10am on Thursday 25th May and join the discussion.
In Finland alone, over a million people require more accessible digital services. As a response to the growing need for designing and building a more accessible future, we at Futurice would like to invite you to our event Empowering diversity in tech on May 25th, starting at 17.00, both online and live at the Tampere premise. This event gives people with disabilities and those working with them the opportunity to share their experiences of digital products with the community of people who build them. These informative talks from accessibility experts and advocates will equip you with the knowledge and empathy to build more accessible digital services ahead of the 2025 European Accessibility Act
May 18 is “Father’s Day” in Germany. Tuesday 23.5, we look at what agile teams have achieved by June 28, 2025, the date of the European Accessibility Act (EAA)—a Retrospective from the Future. Where were we at a loss when? What went gone well? Which dependencies have we successfully simplified? Which works better? The Zoom waiting room closes at 12:08 p.m. Participants will bring their topics, which they will present in the Lean Coffee format, plumbed and discussed mainly in German in 10-minute sessions, and visualized with Miro whiteboard if needed.
Światowy Dzień Świadomości Dostępności jest dobrą okazją do pokazania tego, co w dostępności jest ważne. Dlatego organizujemy w dniu 19 maja serię webinarów, skierowanych przede wszystkim do koordynatorów dostępności. Jeżeli jednak ktoś inny zainteresuje się wydarzeniem, to serdecznie zapraszamy. Przewidujemy 5 webinarów trwających po godzinie. Pierwsze 45 minut należy do prowadzącej lub prowadzącego, a pozostałe 15 minut do uczestników. Możecie zadawać pytania lub odpocząć. Dla chętnych przygotujemy certyfikaty uczestnictwa. Dlatego prosimy o podanie prawdziwych danych w formularzu rejestracyjnym. Certyfikat będzie przygotowany właśnie na podstawie tych danych. Ramowy program wygląda następująco: 1. Agata Gawska przedstawi Planer – narzędzie do przygotowania planu wdrażania dostępności. Plan wdrażania dostępności i deklarację dostępności trzeba zasilić danymi. Warto poznać rozwiązania, które w tym pomogą.

Panel discussion by people with disabilities on accessibility for people without disabilities. Accessibility is not only for people with disabilities, so the panel looks to highlight how their accessibility needs benefits many other people. In a world where diversity and inclusion are drivers in the business sector, accessibility needs to be understood, actioned and implemented holistically. Without accessibility – diversity and inclusion cannot be achieved. The panel discussion hopes to teach attendees how many people can benefit from accessibility within the South African and African context.
