A Case Study from IAG: Digital Accessibility Journey and Tooling

TTC welcomes you to join us for a free webinar to celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). In addition to learning about some of the team’s exciting outcomes, we will learn more about the importance of tooling. Accessibility tools can support teams to embed accessibility into the way that they work, and TTC will showcase this through a short demonstration of AQA, an accessibility testing tool that we use for some of our auditing. It’s important for us as accessibility professionals to revisit why we do what we do, and It’s important for other IT teams and organisations to learn from each other. Whether you are a designer, developer, tester, or simply have interest in this topic, learning more about the why, what, and how will hopefully inspire you or your team to progress on your digital accessibility journey!

Making smart use of social media in an inclusive way!

Accessibility is something that involves different contexts and scenarios. From the development of accessible solutions for all people and that will involve other people who know how to develop inclusive solutions. Even the best practices for disseminating inclusive and accessible solutions. It is increasingly common for people to say that it is important to use alternative texts, transcriptions, sign language and different methods to bring inclusion to the contents, but at the same time there is still a shortage of qualified professionals to do this in a more assertive way. . Taking into account that no one is born knowing how to do it and it is necessary to go through an adaptation phase, in this workshop we will understand some phases of this process and how you can start creating truly inclusive content, somehow.
