Round table on the digital accessibility of museums, the requirements and regulations in this area, the tools by which the digital products of museums can become more accessible to people with disabilities. The participants are museum specialists, experts with disabilities, IT specialists and ITMO students. Round table organized by the State Russian Museum and ITMO University. One of the goals of the round table is to identify and formulate museums’ needs in the area of digital accessibility, and to find ways to solve existing problems. In the future, based on the identified requests, the Russian Museum, together with ITMO University, plans to formulate methodological recommendations for museum employees on creating digital accessibility, which will take into account the specifics of these cultural institutions. These recommendations may be in demand among museums in Russia and will help create a more accessible digital environment. This is an important step towards making cultural heritage accessible to all.

May 18 is “Father’s Day” in Germany. Tuesday 23.5, we look at what agile teams have achieved by June 28, 2025, the date of the European Accessibility Act (EAA)—a Retrospective from the Future. Where were we at a loss when? What went gone well? Which dependencies have we successfully simplified? Which works better? The Zoom waiting room closes at 12:08 p.m. Participants will bring their topics, which they will present in the Lean Coffee format, plumbed and discussed mainly in German in 10-minute sessions, and visualized with Miro whiteboard if needed.

We usually do a meetup in relation to the Global Acessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). This year GAAD is on a Swedish Holiday so we decided to have our event the week after instead. We are hosted by Kivra and the event will take place in person at their office in central Stockholm.
