Global Accessibility Awareness Day is every third Thursday in May and we’re continuing to celebrate with a full day of programming featuring content that touches on accessibility, self advocacy, and adaptive technology. Tune into 101.9FM or at citr.ca anytime between 9am-5pm PDT

University: The University of Mississippi GAAD Lunch and Learn (Virtual)

21 May 2020 | 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (MS)

The university will participate in the ninth annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day by offering a free virtual lunch-and-learn webinar that includes an introduction to a new online accessibility training program for UM faculty and staff. The online meeting begins at noon and will provide participants with steps to increase accessibility in digital content.

7 Tips to Improve Accessibility in your Moodle Courses (Virtual)

Thursday 21st, 2020 is the ninth Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), and the first since we started our company last June so we want to help build awareness and contribute to the campaign by running a webinar on accessibility and Moodle.

We are holding a one hour webinar “7 Tips to Improve Accessibility in your Moodle Courses” at 6pm IST on Zoom and will publish the recording next week.

Internal: Expedia celebrates GAAD (Virtual)

Expedia Group will be hosting its 5th annual celebration of GAAD. We will be hosting an online activity to understand what it’s like to interact with the web when you have a disability, a customer panel, as well as “Intro to Accessibility” trainings for developers, UX designers and anyone who wants to learn more.
