Em comemoração ao Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), o Banco do Brasil promove um painel com líderes das áreas estratégicas que mais vêm contribuindo para a evolução da acessibilidade digital na instituição. O objetivo é destacar iniciativas que geram impacto real nos produtos e serviços digitais, dar visibilidade às ações em curso e reforçar o compromisso coletivo com a inclusão. Durante esse painel com troca e reflexão, vamos conhecer experiências práticas, avanços conquistados e os desafios que ainda precisamos superar para consolidar a acessibilidade digital como um valor central no desenvolvimento tecnológico do BB.

Philips Accessibility Day was created as an internal event, for designers to learn how accessibility can vastly improve experiences for healthcare professionals and patients.

This year, Doctolib is proudly participating in Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) This is an on-site event across all our main locations. GAAD is a global initiative focused on raising awareness around digital accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities.

As we prepare for the European Accessibility Act implementation, this day is an important step in our journey to make our products more inclusive and accessible for everyone.

What to expect

• A short introductory session to understand the basics of accessibility (A11y)
• A hands-on testing workshop where you’ll experience how people with disabilities navigate our products

Discover Financial Services celebrates Global Accessibility Awareness Day with an internal presentation exploring the real-world impact of digital accessibility and how it empowers inclusive growth. In partnership with Level Access, this event aims to inspire Discover teams to learn how to start their own accessibility journey, beginning with small, practical steps. It will also explore how other financial institutions approach digital accessibility and inclusive design. 

In celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), on May 15th in 2025, at 1pm PST, the KP Digital Accessibility Program is proud to present a special panel discussion. We will be featuring four remarkable individuals who bring diverse perspectives and expertise (authoring, design, testing, and user research) to the forefront of accessibility and inclusive design at Kaiser Permanente. The panelists will each answer a set of pre-selected questions, leaving some time for open discussion, and then wrap up with attendee questions & answers at the end. This panel represents a cross-section of roles and responsibilities that collectively drive accessibility forward – from strategy to execution. We invite you to join the conversation, ask questions, and explore how we can all contribute to building a more inclusive digital future. Come celebrate KP’s inclusiveness on GAAD Day!

El Día Mundial de Concienciación sobre la Accesibilidad es el evento mas significativo que tenemos en accesibilidad y lo festejamos en MELI con 6 charlas de la comunidad!

If you work for any government worldwide and are interested in accessibility, join the 36th International Design in Government call. We will be discussing accessibility and inclusion. We will hear from 4 speakers from 3 countries about their work. Hidde de Vries supports the Dutch government in terms of web standards and has helped build the NL Design System. He will talk about built-in accessibility. Priyanca De’Souza, working for various UK government departments, will discuss ‘Considering intersectionality and lived experience when we approach accessibility’. From the German government’s DigitalService, Christoph Schmidl and Marion Couesnon will share the culture, format and tools they have developed to create accessible justice services in Germany. The call is open to anyone working in the public sector in any part of the world. In this internal awareness workshop for our Experience Design team, we will explore why accessibility must be at the heart of everything we create. Through hands-on activities using assistive technology settings and disability simulators, we will foster empathy and deepen understanding of diverse user needs. The session will also provide practical design tips to help embed accessibility into our everyday workflows.
