GAAD at Weston College: Creating Accessible Content (In Person)

In recognition of GAAD, the Weston College Learning Technology team will be hosting an interactive online session on digital accessibility for teaching and business staff across the organisation. The session will cover the importance of accessibility and how to apply the WCAG 2.1 POUR principles when creating documents, presentations and other digital content.

Disability Culture with Lachi (Virtual)

In her presentation “Woke Up Blind. Now I’m Here,” Lachi will share the story of the day she woke up with no vision, emphasizing how strength of mind and character (and just a bit of outside-the-box thinking) can enable you to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Additionally, she will discuss disability culture and the importance of disability inclusion.
