February 5 through May 15, 2025 marks the second annual 100 Days of Accessibility at the University of Iowa. The goal of the 100 Days initiative is to illustrate the ongoing nature of accessibility practice by providing a window of opportunity for individuals and groups to effect real progress in their accessibility journey. Throughout the 100 Days, Accessibility@IOWA offers trainings, workshops, and other resources to increase awareness, develop skills, set goals, and inspire knowledgeable action toward accessibility and inclusion.

Ivy+ Global Accessibility Awareness Day Event (Private/Internal)

Available to confirmed affiliated of any member institutions. Come join a virtual event to talk, think, and learn all about digital access with our peer institutions in advance of Global Accessibility Awareness Day! In collaboration with our Ivy+ colleagues, come participate in a packed agenda featuring presentations and lightning talks that highlight the practical steps you can take to make digital content more accessible. Subject matter experts from multiple universities will share their thoughts on AI tools and strategies for creating accessible content along with key design elements that can drive users towards (or away!) from your content. Our “Ask the Experts” session will allow you to get direct advice on using platforms like Office 365 and Google Docs to create accessible documents. Join us only for a few sessions or for the entire event to explore ways to create a culture of accessibility such that all members of the campus community can engage fully with your digital resources.

Telekom Month of Accessibility (Private/Internal)

Deutsche Telekom – Month of Accessibility 2025 May 6–28, 2025
To build awareness and strengthen accessibility skills across the organization, Deutsche Telekom is hosting a Month of Accessibility from May 6 to 28, around GAAD on May 15. The internal program includes keynote talks, workshops, hands-on testing sessions, and contributions from external experts and employees with lived experience. Topics range from accessibility and AI to inclusive user journeys and neurodiversity. The initiative is hosted by the T&I / DT IT segment and supports awarenss for the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and highlights accessibility as a driver of innovation, product quality, and inclusive workplace culture.
Global Accessibility Awareness Month (Private/Internal)

Over the last several years, Liberty Mutual Insurance has been on a multi-year journey to create an even more inclusive and accessible workplace. To increase the company’s digital accessibility and inclusion practices, in May, we will hold a month-long series of 17 virtual and in-person events to enrich employees’ understanding of accessible products and to build the skills necessary to design and engineer accessible experiences for our employees and customers. Through our events we will explore topics like accessibility-first engineering, accessible culture for the workplace, building accessible practices for our agile teams, and the future of accessible AI development. The program is provided by our Technology Learning department in partnership with the organization’s employee resource group (ERG), Able@Liberty + Allies – which supports people with disabilities, caregivers, and family members – providing first-person insight into the impact of accessible product design.

Zain Purple Confidence Roundtable (Private/Internal)

At Zain, accessibility is all about people, and on GAAD, we recognize that day by hosting a roundtable, in partnership with PurpleSpace, for our employee resource group for people with disabilities to express their thoughts and aspirations, with the presence of the HR teams, across all our 8 different markets, to learn directly from their colleagues with disabilities. By hosting such event, with over 65 participants, we at Zain continue to be a leading organization in the region, where disability is a heard voice, accessibility is a top priority, and a journey that we recognize throughout the whole year not just certain days.

Committing to Change (Private/Internal)

This year, iCIMS will focus on the theme of “Committing to Change.” This theme emphasizes that web accessibility is an ongoing journey, with continuous opportunities for growth and improvement. We will discuss the progress iCIMS has made over the past nine years in celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) and outline our objectives for the future. This event will be company-wide, featuring on-site activities as well as a live stream for remote employees.

This is a colleague only event that is raising awareness about disability and inclusive experiences across our business. We have speakers from different departments sharing the work they’re doing to make BA even more accessible for its customers. We also have speakers from outside the business sharing their experiences of travelling as customers with disabilities.

Internally we’re celebrating P&G inclusive design successes with our brands, and educating our P&G family about what they can do to make their e-mail they send accessible. Externally we’ll be celebrating with a sneak peak into the day in the life of the P&G accessibility team.
Hyland’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day (Private/Internal)

Between May 15 and May 31, Hyland will be hosting a series of internal activities focused on accessibility awareness. These efforts are meant to increase understanding of how we’re working to create more inclusive, accessible experiences—both for our solutions and our internal culture.
What to Expect:
- Video Spotlights: A set of short videos will be recorded and made available on Cornerstone. These videos will showcase Hyland team members sharing insights into current accessibility initiatives and why this work matters.
- Free Stickers & Handouts: Accessibility-themed stickers and a printed handout will be available to help spread awareness. The handout highlights the Be My Eyes app, which connects volunteers with people who are blind or have low vision, helping them navigate daily tasks independently.
This is a private, internal event open only to Hyland employees. The goal is to promote awareness, encourage conversation, and recognize the steps we’re taking together to support accessibility. We’re submitting this event for internal visibility and awareness.
Accessibility Summit at PayPal (Private/Internal)

PayPal’s first-ever Accessibility Summit is on! This internal hybrid event will celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day and feature an incredible keynote by Dr. Ashley Shew (author of Against Technoableism). Four compelling sessions led by PayPal teams exploring: Who are our customers with disabilities, and what are their needs Championing an accessibility-first culture Evolution of accessible mobile experiences Centering Accessibility in Content Design Also on GAAD, PayPal is inviting customers with disabilities to user testing sessions to help teams better understand how to serve our customers and any challenges they face when using our products.
