In celebration of this year’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), Deque is offering a free 2-day virtual workshop (6 total hours) for front-end developers and designers seeking practical accessibility skills that you can apply on the job. Attendees should be comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and have a basic understanding of what accessibility is.
Our purpose is to give visibility to the digital inclusion of the more than one billion people with disabilities. In this Digital Workshop, Consuelo Correa Barros, graphic designer and teacher of Inclusive Design at “Universidad del Desarrollo” and activist for accessibility in Latin America, will talk to us from Chile about digital accessibility trends in LATAM. In addition, Carmen García, from Siteimprove, will tell us why being a digitally inclusive organization is the big challenge of 2021.
