Service Designers Connect: Design with insight

What’s this session about?

We’ll be celebrating the 14th Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

How will we be doing that?

We’ll be joined by accessibility expert Nichole Browne, who’ll be running a hands-on empathy lab experience created specifically for designers and product managers who are passionate about building accessible and inclusive products.

About the session

The Empathy Lab Experience is an award-winning workshop that will take you beyond theory—allowing you to step into the real-world challenges faced by people with various disabilities and impairments. Through interactive simulations you’ll gain insights into accessibility issues from a fresh perspective.

Attending this session, you will…

  • gain practical skills and simple, actionable strategies you can bring back to your team
  • explore the positive impact accessibility can have on your products, brand, and bottom line
  • learn how the European Accessibility Act coming into effect in June 2025 will impact your organisation

This is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding, enhance your design process, and make a real difference in users’ lives.

Come ready to learn, engage, and transform your approach to accessibility!

Anything else?

There’ll be plenty of time for drinks, nibbles, and conversations.

Spring Agora 2025

Agora is a conference on information and communication technologies (ICT) for both experts and users with visual impairments. It has been organised by the Teiresias Centre at Masaryk University since 2015. In recent years, the rapid development of ICT—alongside efforts to make these technologies accessible—has significantly expanded the range of tools and services available to users with severe visual impairments. Today, many of these solutions are easily accessible and offer valuable support in everyday life. However, users do not always know how to use these tools effectively, may be unaware of their full potential, or simply lack information about what is currently available on the market. Agora provides a unique platform for experts, technology providers, and users to come together and exchange knowledge, experience, and feedback. This direct connection with the user community is highly valued and rarely found elsewhere. The Agora program includes: Plenary sessions, where participants are introduced to the latest developments in the field through short expert presentations; An exhibition area, where they can explore products and services offered by a range of assistive technology vendors; Hands-on workshops, where experienced tutors guide participants in learning how to use selected tools effectively.

BITV-Zertifizierung in der Praxis: Unser Weg zur barrierefreien Website

Barrierefreiheit ist kein Nice-to-have. Sie ist Pflicht – rechtlich, strategisch und menschlich. Wer digitale Angebote barrierefrei gestaltet, schafft Zugänge.
