Global Accessibility Awareness Day Celebration Bangladesh

Aspire To Innovate, an initiative to digitize Bangladesh is going to celebrate “Global Accessibility Awareness Day Bangladesh” for the first time. It will be a joyful event with a cultural program, following a useful discussion on the Digital Accessibility of services in Bangladesh. The program will have Mr. Ashraf Ali Khan Khushru, the Honorable State Minister of Social Welfare Bangladesh, and other delegates.

Features demonstrations and interactive workshops on usability testing for the curious and the informed. Uma vez mais a Bosch Aveiro junta-se a esta iniciativa, cujo objetivo é inspirar insights transformativos sobre inclusão e know-how de acessibilidade, juntando as comunidades dedicadas ao desenvolvimento de tecnologia acessível (developers, designers, especialistas de usabilidade, etc.).

GAAD at Weston College: Creating Accessible Content

In recognition of GAAD, the Weston College Learning Technology team will be hosting an interactive online session on digital accessibility for teaching and business staff across the organisation. The session will cover the importance of accessibility and how to apply the WCAG 2.1 POUR principles when creating documents, presentations and other digital content.

We’re going to have food trucks, scooters, a COVID-19 vaccine clinic, a panel discussion about digital accessibility, and all kinds of partner organizations there to provide information and resources for the disability community. Oura Tech Meetup – Accessibility in SW Development

Oura Tech Community’s May meetup is all about accessibility. We have two talks: one about web accessibility, and another about iOS-accessibility. This event is organized in Oura’s Helsinki office, and will have a livestream with captions available. Division of Academic Innovation Accessibility Awareness Event

The Division of Academic Innovation is hosting an event showcasing simulations of various disabilities to make aware the importance of digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities. Activities will include using low vision simulation goggles, dyslexia typing simulation, demonstration of orientation and mobility practices, demonstration of assistive technology, and demonstration of iOS and Android accessibility apps for smart devices. We are participating in Fix Your Content Day.

DU’s First Annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)
